How to Summon Shenron in Dragon Ball Legends: Collect All 7 Dragon Balls
Summoning Shenron is the highlight of Dragon Ball Legends' anniversary celebrations: collect all seven Dragon Balls, call the Eternal Dragon and pick a wish – typically premium rewards like Chrono Crystals, rare medals or summon tickets. Here's how the collection actually works and how to complete your set quickly.
How the Dragon Ball scan events work
During scan campaigns (anniversary events, Legends Festival and similar celebrations), the friends menu gains a Scan QR code option. Every unique player you scan awards you one Dragon Ball. Scan seven different friends and the set is complete – then you can summon Shenron from the event screen and choose a wish.
Two rules shape your strategy:
- One Dragon Ball per unique friend. Scanning the same person again does nothing, so you need at least seven different players.
- QR codes must be fresh. The game rejects codes with an old timestamp – regenerate right before scanning.
The fastest way to collect all 7 Dragon Balls
You don't need seven friends in the same room. You need seven friend codes:
- Gather codes. Ask your crew, or pick codes from community friend-code threads on Reddit and Discord – during anniversary weeks these threads are everywhere. (More on that in our friend-code guide.)
- Build your list. Paste all codes into the free DBL QR generator. It saves the list on your device, so you can add codes over several days.

- Summon. With seven Dragon Balls collected, open the event screen and call Shenron.
Choosing your wish
The wish menu varies by event, but the usual advice holds across campaigns:
- Chrono Crystals are the safe pick for most players – they directly fund your next summons.
- Rare/awakening medals are worth it if you're a few medals short of a limit break on a unit you actually use.
- Cosmetics and titles are for collectors – pick them only if you don't need resources.
Some events let you complete the Dragon Balls more than once. If the campaign resets your collection after a wish, start scanning a fresh set of friends right away – the event window is limited.
Don't wait until the last day
The most common way to miss Shenron is simply running out of time. Scan events end with the celebration, and finding seven scannable friends on the final evening is stressful.
